From December 7 to 25, 2023, Hobson Heights neighbors are welcome to decorate their homes to celebrate the unique architecture and history that has made our neighborhood so magical for 100 years and counting.

Saturday, December 9 – 2:00 to 4:30pm -FREE Visits and Photos with SANTA! Humans and their fur babies welcome! Accepting canned & dried food and blankets for our homeless cat and dog friends for The Humane Society of Ventura County. Free coffee truck provided by our local dentist, Jay Ross DDS. 1691 E Main Street.
Sunday, December 10 – 12:00pm to 3:00pm – Meet the Dogs! C.A.R.L – dog rescue will have adoptable dogs who need homes for the holidays. Come meet your new best friend and support their non-profit with the donation of a use blanket. 1691 E Main Street at Jay Ross Dentistry. 2:00 to 4:30pm -FREE Visits and Photos with SANTA! Saturday, Dec 16 – 5:30pm to 7:30pm – Community Presbyterian Church OPEN HOUSE. Come see how pretty CPC (built in 1929) looks all decked out for the season. A brief 5 min historical video on the church will be shown every 15 mins along with hot cocoa, Christmas music, carols, & crafts for kids on the patio. FREE! ALL WELCOME! 1555 Poli Street.
Saturday, December 23 – 2:00 to 4:30pm – FREE Visits and Photos with FREE Visits and Photos with SANTA! Humans and / or their fur babies welcome! We will be collecting canned, pre-packaged food goods for FOOD SHARE. 1691 E Main Street.
As your fellow Hobson Heights neighbor for 13 years, I’m excited to find meaningful ways to commemorate this historic occasion. I’m working with our city council member, Doug Halter, and community activists to find unique ways to celebrate our iconic neighborhood in 2023 while bringing our community together. Stay tuned!
